The RDW is the organization responsible for the registration of motorized vehicles and driver’s licenses in the Netherlands. The RDW is an independent administrative body of the Dutch government. The name RDW was originally derived from the Dutch term Rijksdienst voor het Wegverkeer (National Road Traffic Service).

The RDW uses KeyTalk to have real-time insight into all the certificates and cryptographic keys used by the RDW for issuing license plates and driver’s licenses.
